WKF-USA Outreach Programs
The Wado Karate Federation - USA sponsors elementary school after-school programs in Jefferson County. More about the WKF-USA. Effective, time-tested, and responsible karate techniques are taught in a controlled, highly structured class environment. Each class reinforces:
- Positive discipline
- Concentration
- Patience
- Respect for others
And karate is lots of fun and great exercise! Karate is a wonderful alternative for children who have led a passive life-style or who have been less successful with team sports. It can become the basis of a lifetime fitness program. The experience of martial art training is a beneficial real-life contrast to the "fantasy violence" of television and video games.
